Your Brain is Wired For Comfort

Okay... Story Time:
This morning, I showed up to the gym—bare wrist, no fitness watch. And for a second, I actually did turn around to go back home.
Why? Because I couldn’t track it.
My brain immediately started making excuses:
"What’s the point if it won’t show up in my stats?"
"You might as well just go home."
And honestly? I almost listened. I stopped for several seconds, seriously considering it before I caught myself.
That’s what our minds do. They try to keep us comfortable, to pull us back into habits that feel safe and familiar—even when they don’t serve us. But real progress happens when we catch those thoughts before they make our decisions for us.
So, I turned back around and went to class anyway. And guess what? It still counted. THE WORK ALWAYS COUNTS!
Your brain will always find a reason to quit. Train it to find a reason to keep going. 💪
